I grew up reading, dancing, and eating ice cream.
My hometown is a small one in the Northwest corner of Iowa — that flyover state with all the corn. Throughout my secondary education I threw myself into every extracurricular that did not involve sports, and began living a thousand lives through the books I could not stop reading.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English, International Studies and Journalism from Iowa State University, where I wrote and edited for the campus newspaper and the fashion magazine Trend. My studies took me to Barcelona, Spain, and London, England, where I interned for Penguin Group U.K.
Currently, I am an editor and gender equality blogger living in Seattle, Washington.
